2025 UTME: JAMB Announces New Registration and Exam Dates, Approves More Test Centres

Jamb Registration and Exam Dates

According to JAMB, registration for the 2025 UTME will begin on January 31 and end on March 5. The main exam is scheduled to start on March 8, 2025, with a mock exam planned for February 23, 2025. Candidates interested in the mock exam can opt in during registration.

How to Register for Jamb 2025

To register, candidates must meet specific requirements, including having a National Identification Number (NIN). Here’s how the process works:

  1. Generate a Profile Code:
    • Send your NIN via SMS to 55019 or 66019.
    • A profile code, which is needed for registration, will be sent back.
  2. Registration Fees:
    • UTME with Mock Exam: ₦8,200.
    • UTME without Mock Exam: ₦7,200.
    • Direct Entry (DE): ₦5,700.

Mock Exam for Under-16 Candidates

JAMB has introduced a special trial mock exam for candidates under the age of 16. This allows younger students to practice with the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) format without taking the main UTME.

More Test Centres for 2025

To make the examination process smoother, JAMB has approved 870 computer-based test centres, an increase from the 747 centres used in 2024. This expansion aims to reduce technical issues and accommodate the growing number of candidates.

Tips for Candidates

JAMB has advised all 2025 UTME candidates to:

  • Create their profiles early.
  • Gather all necessary documents, including their NIN.
  • Stay updated on JAMB’s official channels for news and information.

Late registration submissions will not be accepted, so candidates should ensure they complete the process within the given timeframe.

JAMB’s Commitment

JAMB has promised to improve the registration and examination experience for all candidates. The board has taken steps to address past challenges and ensure fairness, transparency, and efficiency for the 2025 UTME.

By following this guide, candidates can prepare for a smooth registration process and focus on performing their best in the exams.
