Tension in PDP as the Governor Godwin Obaseki gets jittery, hires six SAN’s to seek redress in tribunal .

According to report the SSG Ogie resigns over irreconcilable differences with governor Obaseki , blames Shaibu.

The sitting governor of Edo State and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Godwin Obaseki has hired six Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) to help prosecute Saturday’s Edo gubernatorial election, at the State Election Petitions Tribunal, ahead of the said poll.

According to ChrisOsaMedia  Edo people finds this development very worrisome, surprising, ridiculous and indeed laughable that the governor, even before the election is yet to be conducted, and a winner declared, has gotten jittery, sensing defeat and already taken steps to petition a process that has not taken place.

This goes a long way to show that the Obaseki , knowing fully well that he has since lost popularity amongst the people that he governs, and sensing defeat, has taken to Court as his only hope and last resort and source of succor.

The people of Edo state are however resolute, determined and have vowed to send the Lagos-breed governor back to Lagos, considering his inability to effectively govern the people, including the countless diversion of public funds and power drunkenness.
When the governor should have focused on delivering the dividends of democracy of which he swore to do, in 2016, he was busy signing clueless and dormant MOU’s without any direct or immediate benefit on the Edo people.

The APC is focused on winning Saturday’s gubernatorial election and will be ready to face the outgoing governor in court. The Edo people are tired of the reckless and incompetent government of Obaseki , and have vowed to elect Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu at the poll to rescue the State from evil hands.

Meanwhile, the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Osarodion Ogie, sensing irreconcilable differences with the governor, has resigned from the Obaseki government even though the development is still being kept as “top-secret” in order not to demoralize his supporters at Saturday’s poll.

Ogie is said to have blamed deputy governor Philip Shaibu for the numerous wrong decisions taking by the governor, accusing him of hijacking the processes leading to the campaigns and misleading Obaseki during the political crisis that rocked the state.

As at the time of filing this report, efforts were being made the prominent governors of the PDP from the South South to prevail on Ogie to reconsider and hide his resignation from the media till after Saturday’s Governorship election.
