Some of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Governors has made a vow not to leave the State due to the police presence outside their hotel on Friday night.
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, last night tweeted that up to 300 police officers were stationed outside the hotel he was occupying alongside other PDP Governors.
The National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus in an emergency press conference early this morning, alleged that security operatives were harassing and threatening the lives of it’s governors who are in Benin.
“Securityagents were detailed to surround the lodging of our governors to harass and intimidate them.”
He noted that APC governors were not given such treatment, name checking governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and Hope Uzodimma of Imo State.
