The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has begun uploading the Edo governorship results from polling units on it’s online portal.
The INEC Result Viewing portal IREV is a dedicated public portal that enable voters to view polling unit results real time as the voting ends on election day.
National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, said the move was to strengthen the transparency in the election result management system which has remained a major source of mistrust in Nigeria’s electoral process.
So far, over 40 results from polling units across the 18 local government areas of the State had been uploaded on the portal.
