1. NPower Gives Further Update On Absorbing Transitioned NPower Beneficiaries
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development has given more detailed updates on Absorbing Transitioned NPower Beneficiaries.

 

According to the update, NPower revealed that it has received 2000 names of exit volunteers who are willing to be transitioned to the other phase of the NPower programme.

 

GoldenNewsNg  understands that the 2000 NPower volunteers are the first batch that will be used to test run the plans put in place, apparently, there will be massive transition after the “test-run” stage.

In an interview with Aliu, NPower Minister, Sadiya Umar Farouq cautioned volunteers to be patients as Rome was not built in a day.

In her last talk-show during the Presidential Ministerial Performance Retreat Review, Sadiya hinted plans to transition NPower volunteers that will yield positive results.

2. NSIP Disburses N13.3b To 15,246 NPower Beneficiaries (Full List)
National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) has disbursed N13.3b To 15,246 NPower Beneficiaries.

GoldenNewsNg  learnt from NSIP that a total number of 15,246 beneficiaries of both batches A and B beneficiaries of NPower in Kwara state were paid a sum of N13.3 billion before they exited the programme.

According to Kwara state Focal Person of National Social Investment Programme, Hajia Bashirah Abdulrazaq, she stated that Npower batch A beneficiaries of the programme were engaged for a period of 42 months and were paid a total sum of N7.4 billion.

 

Hajia AbdulRazaq further stated that Npower batch B beneficiaries spent about 24 months, saying they received a total sum of N5.7 billion.

 

In her word, “Non-graduates received the sum of N10,000 every month and were engaged for a period of 24 months with a total sum of over N24 million spent,”.

She also said that the Kwara state government had replicated the youth empowerment programme, codenamed K-Power, in order not to throw beneficiaries into the labour market after exiting the Social Intervention scheme like that.

3. Npower Shortlisted Applicants List Is Not Out, Beware Of Fraudsters – FG
The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs has debunked websites saying Npower Shortlisted Applicants List Is Out as fake.

GoldenNewsNg  reports that Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs has called on its 2020 Batch C applicants to be vigilant about fake website circulating online asking applicants to input their email and phone numbers.

The Ministry while calling on well-meaning Nigerians to help alert their neighbourhood shared a screenshot from the purported fake website.

“Please disregard, kindly share and help us in checking these fraudulent messages”

4. FG Speaks On Npower Batch C Selection Process, Reveals What Will Happen To Batch A & B
President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government has spoken on Npower Batch C Selection Process, Reveals What Will Happen To Batch A & B.

GoldenNewsNg  reports that the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajia Sadiya Farouq, Thursday, assured Nigerians that the selection process in the NPower Batch C will be transparent and there are plans to absorb the exited Npower beneficiaries into a new scheme.

The Minister gave the assurance at an interactive forum with state focal persons of the National Social Investment Programmes, yesterday in Abuja where she also said that the Federal Government have successfully exited batch A and B from the scheme.

5. FG Approves Payment Of Outstanding Npower Beneficiaries Stipends, Gives Batch C Update
President Muhammadu Buhari led federal government has approved the further payment of Npower Beneficiaries Stipends.

GoldenNewsNg  reports that the Npower Beneficiaries Stipends payment approval notice was made known to newsmen via a tweet by the Scheme Minister.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Farouq has taken to her official Twitter page to disclosing the development.

The Minister also revealed that the review of Npower Batch C 2020 Applicants is still ongoing and promises to release the list in due course.

6. FG Speaks On Absorbing NPower Beneficiaries Into Govt Programmes
Federal Government of Nigeria under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development have spoken on absorbing Npower beneficiaries.

GoldenNewsNg  reports that the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Farouq, has disclosed that discussions are ongoing to ensure that exited and eligible N-Power beneficiaries are absorbed into government programmes.

According to a statement on Thursday in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital by Sadiya’s Special Assistant on Media, Mrs Nneka Anibeze, the Minister said exited beneficiaries should exercise more patience and await the result of her efforts.

7. NPower: Minister Gives Important Update To Over 5M Npower Batch C 2020 Applicants
Nigerian Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development Scheme have given an important update to Npower Batch C 2020 Applicants.

GoldenNewsNg  reports that Sadiya Umar Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, on Friday gave an update on the NPower C recruitment progress.

At the inception, the introduction of NPower scheme stands out as one of the best policies of the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari with a lot of graduates been engaged through the scheme aspiring to move to the assumed next level of the programme which was interpreted to be permanent employment or empowerment not knowing it is a rehearsal for the journey to the colony of unemployment.

On 30th June, 2020, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, announced the commencement of the disengagement of the batches A and B of the Npower volunteers which was completed in July without providing them exist package to start the business of their dreams after serving the nation for years.

9. Npower Volunteers Announce Date For Mega Protest Against Buhari Govt (Full Details)
NPower Volunteers has announced a date for NPower Mega Protest in Abuja against NPower leadership and President Muhammadu Buhari’s Government.

GoldenNewsNg  reports that the transitioned NPower Beneficiaries of 2019 batch A and B have scheduled Wednesday 26th August 2020 for mega protest.

This online news medium gathered the information about NPower Mega Protest from a statement jointly signed by Joseph Maigari and five others on behalf of the National Coordinator, Comrade Pele.

According to the statement, NPower protesters are expected to be on the ground on or before 9:45 am at the meeting point which is in front of Federal Secretariat Abuja before matching to ASO VILLA where they are envisaged to meet President Muhammadu Buhari.

10.NPower Commences June Stipend Payment To Beneficiaries
Npower has commenced the payment of June stipend to deserving beneficiaries.

GoldenNewsNg  reports that after 79 days of unabated protest by batches A and B beneficiaries, Npower today being 19th August 2020, commenced payment of June stipend.

11. NPower June And July Stipends Payment Deadline, See When To Expect Your Npower Stipends
Npower June and July Stipends payment deadline for the transitioned NPower Beneficiaries has been revealed.

GoldenNewsNg  reports that Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, has finally revealed when Npower beneficiaries will receive their unpaid June and July stipends.

According to the Minister, Batch A Npower beneficiaries and Batch B Npower beneficiaries of the Federal Government social intervention scheme, N-Power, will receive their stipends before the onboarding of the new beneficiaries by the government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sadiya who disclosed this in a series tweets on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Sunday night, August 16, assured Npower beneficiaries of the social intervention scheme that “efforts are in high gear to clear the stipends.”

 

12. Npower June And July Stipend 2020: What Aisha Told Npower Beneficiaries

Aisha has reacted over the delayed payment of Npower June and July Stipend 2020.

Recall that Npower beneficiaries are yet to receive Npower June stipend 2020 and Npower July stipend 2020.

 

Reacting to the delayed payment of Npower stipend, a rights activist and co-founder of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) movement, Aisha Yesufu, has asked disengaged N-Power protesters to meet with other agitators to “protest on the same day.”

 

The call by Aisha is coming at a time Npower beneficiaries are still lamenting the delay in payment of Npower June stipend and Npower July stipend.

Aisha’s call is coming after several beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s N-Power programme protested in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, on Thursday 23rd July 2020, over unpaid Stipends and disengagement from the famed programme by Federal Government.
