We are recruiting to fill the position of:

 

Job Title: TX Project Manager

Location: Lagos

About the Job

  • The ideal candidate will plan, direct and deploy all Identified Network Projects and Programs to ensure High Speed of Time to Market.
  • This role must guarantee synergy, effective and efficient resource utilization, cost optimization and Return on investments to deliver on Business goals and +1 Network experience.

Responsibilities

  • Speed of Execution of Roll outs & Installation and Commissioning of Microwave links (Ceragon, Aviat and Nokia OEM)  (Customer)
  • Logistics and Project Management
  • Regulatory and Statutory Compliance
  • Partner and Supply Chain Management

Qualifications

  • Any university degree in Engineering.
  • Professional qualification in Project Management Techniques will be an advantage
  • Prior experience on Transmission in a Telecoms environment.
  • 6-18 years’ experience in the Telecom sector
  • Over 5 years in deployment of microwave links.
  • Experience of managing multiple complex Network projects simultaneously
  • Evidence of successful project delivery with wide geographical spread
  • Experience in transmission link planning ,deployment and troubleshooting of transmission related issues.
  • Strong Numeric skills

Job Title: Regional Technical Director

Location: Lagos

Job Purpose

  • To lead, direct, coordinate and control all Network Operations, Maintenance and Resources in the Region to ensure all goals (optimal network availability, coverage, maintaining target network KPI’s and quality standards) are met to deliver plus one network quality.
  • Providing local network support for both the Commercial Teams in the Region towards ensuring that network impacting issues are proactively resolved.

Key Accountabilities

  • Management of all Regional Network E2E and Strategic Partners (SPs) to deliver optimal availability and customer experience QoS.
  • Co-ordinate the annual regional operating plans OPEX (AOPs) for all the active and passive network systems in Airtel Nigeria
  • Drive the end-to-end process documentation, implementation and compliance to processes, procedures and policies to ensure seamless operations across all SP
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Partner Management
  • Team Management

Skills & Knowledge

  • Bachelor of Electrical /Electronic Engineering or Telecoms Engineering (Masters Degree in Engineering a plus)
  • Sound knowledge of Mobile Network O&M.
  • Transmission and IP experience is highly desired (a must-to have).
  • 8 – 12 years of varied quality experience in operation and maintenance in the Telecom industry
  • 6-8 years senior managerial experience in a GSM/mobile company
  • Team Management
  • Analytical and Presentation skills
  • Strategic negotiation skills
  • Entrepreneurial disposition in decision making and managing resources
  •  Logical decision making abilities
  • Flexible and dedicated

Residents of a Lagos estate were left in shock on Thursday night after a young woman, Deborah Porsche, popularly known as Debporsche, was allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend, identified simply as Lintex, nearly a year after their breakup. According to reports, Lintex had repeatedly threatened Deborah since their split in August 2024, allegedly vowing: “If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I no marry you, blood go flow.” Deborah’s sister described her as a hardworking interior decorator who had just completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). She further alleged that the deceased endured emotional abuse throughout her relationship with Lintex, which ultimately pushed her to walk away. On the night of the attack, the suspect disguised himself as a dispatch rider in an attempt to infiltrate the estate. Security guards reportedly stopped him at the gate, but he scaled the fence and gained entry to Deborah’s apartment. Eyewitnesses said Lintex first tampered with the gas cylinder line outside the apartment, allegedly trying to cause an explosion. When that failed, he forced his way inside and stabbed Deborah multiple times with a knife he brought along. Alarmed neighbours rushed to the scene and alerted the police. The suspect was subdued and handed over to law enforcement officers. Police authorities have confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are ongoing. Deborah’s tragic death has sparked outrage online and renewed calls for stronger legal protections for women against abusive and obsessive partners.
