  • FG activates exit strategy for ex-N-Power beneficiaries

N-Power beneficiaries who have concluded the 2-year job programme will now be able to access permanent job opportunities or business prospects in line with the N-power exit strategy now activated by the Buhari administration.

Under the plan, 200,000 beneficiaries will be engaged as financial services operators under a Shared Agent Network Expansion Facility (SANEF) scheme operated by the Central Bank of Nigeria; over 30,000 have already been engaged as geospatial experts and enumerators in the Economic Sustainability Plan’s Mass Agric programme, while several others will have the option of benefiting from the GEEP micro-enterprise loans.

Some beneficiaries of the scheme confirmed in separate telephone interviews that a platform known as N-exit portal has been opened to collate and process beneficiaries’ information in line with the government’s exit strategy. Mr Orioye Gbayisemore, a beneficiary from Ondo State confirmed that many of his colleagues in his community have already uploaded their data on the N-exit portal while Mrs Vivian Nkiruka Nellys, another beneficiary in the FCT, said she uploaded her data at the end of December 2020, all in preparation for the new scheme for the former N-Power beneficiaries.

  • NPower Creative Programme (North) Training Begins

The Federal Government through the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq has announced the commencement of the NPower Creative Programme (North) via it’s twitter handle. The programme is to hold at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria.

Recall that training for NPower Creative South took place in July, 2019.

About NPower Creative

The N-Power Creative programme will train and develop 5,000 young creative talents. The strategy is to put our creative industry on the global radar as exporters of world-class services and content. Training will last 3 months, made up of 1-month in-class and a 2-month hands-on group project, across selected Nigerian cities. The participants will be trained and certified in one of the following courses:

Animation | Graphic Design | Post-production | Script Writing

At the end of the training, some participants will get local and international internship opportunities while others will be linked to job and market opportunities. In addition, all participants will receive computing devices that will ensure that they master their skills during and after the training.

Selection Preference for NPower Creative

  • Unemployed graduates or non graduates
  • Must be between 18-35 years old
  • Basic illustration skills will be an advantage for animation and graphic arts
  • For Script Writing, creative writing skills and analytical writing skills will be an advantage
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to undertake self-tutorship
  • Detail-oriented
  • Analytical

N-Power Has Revealed When NEXIT Applicants Will Receive Payment, speaks on N-exit portal challenges.

Addressing applicants on NEXIT Payment and portal progress, N-Power tweeted Thursday morning, “You’ll Receive N-exit payment but not so soon until when all data and processes are completed, kindly ignore rumours. N-exit portal challenges are under review for corrections. Having a personal problem, kindly submit right complaint to the desk mail. Stay safe.”

Buhari Confirms Increase Of NPower Beneficiaries To 1Million

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, December 10 confirmed the increase of N-Power beneficiaries from 500, 000 to 1,000,000.

GoldenNewsNg  understands that the programme which was founded on June 8, 2016, by the Buhari administration to address the issue of Youth unemployment and help increase social development will now double by 500,000, the initial target of the government.

The NEXIT portal is for former Npower beneficiaries (batches A and B) to apply for Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Empowerment Options.

However, after the portal was launched, some of the applicants have been having issues completing their NEXIT registration process due to issues with their email activation link.

Such affected persons have now been instructed to forward their details to support@n-sip.gov.ng in order to get the issues rectified.

 Kwara Govt To Absorb Exited Npower Batch A And B Beneficiaries Into New Scheme

 

The Kwara State government has declared its intention to absorb exited Npower batch A and B beneficiaries in the state into another scheme.

This was disclosed on Wednesday in a statement in which the state government noted that its decision is to complement the efforts of the federal government in tackling unemployment among youths.

Upon completion of your records and submitting them successfully, you will receive a pop up congratulatory message which signified that you have uploaded and submitted your records Successfully.

 No Closing Date Set For NEXIT Portal Yet

GoldenNewsNg report that  No closing date set for NEXIT portal yet. The NSIP Team have not set a deadline for the Nexit Registration yet, said NNEKA IKEM, SA to Minister of Humanitarian affairs.

According to Nneka Ikem, For @npower_ng beneficiaries still awaiting their validation mail, you’ll receive it soon as mails are being sent in batches to prevent the Nexit portal platform from crashing. No deadline yet so please wait patiently.
