It is a black Sunday for the people of Nigeria after a military aircraft crash landed near the Nnmadi Azikwe Airport in Abuja around 1:20 pm in the afternoon.
Golden News NG has gathered that the aircraft was the King Air 350 and it crashed after a report of engine failure was made. Reports have it that the plane was chartered and it was enroute Minna, Niger State.
Although reports on the victims of the crash remains very sketchy, it is alleged that six people died. The number of the victims hasn’t been verified by the relevant agencies.
Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has confirmed the incident via his official Twitter handle. The tweet reads;
“A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure enroute Minna. It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm & wait for the outcome of investigation by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls if any.๐ณ๐ฌ๐คฒ๐ฝ๐ฉ”
