
Niger Tornadoes football club has unveiled fifteen new players to bolster their squad ahead of the commencement of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
While presenting the players at the official unveiling of Niger Tornadoes 2022/2023 season players in Minna on Thursday, the Chairman of the Team, Adamu Aliyu who was represented by Ibrahim Matane charged the new players and the whole team to be committed, dedicated and disciplined for the new season.
He added that “the qualification of the team for continental competitions is our target for the next season.”
Commissioner for Sport, Mamman Musa who was represented by the State Director of Sport, Babasheshi Katcha assured that modalities for the payment of all salaries, allowances, bonuses and sign on fees have been completed .
According to him “we will not fail in the payment of your salaries and other financial commitments. We have enough budget to handle all your benefits and entitlements.”
Also, the head coach, Abubakar Bala told Journalists that the unveiling and inclusion of the new players is aimed at having enough players and options as the club will be aiming to qualify for continental competition next Season.
Among the players unveiled at the Sports Complex in Minna on Thursday are the trio Sheriff Amuda, Oke Oluwaseun and Damilola Fagbenla from Tonere FC, Benin Republic.
Others are: Babatunde Taofeeq- Offa United, Dennis Mse- Road Safety FC, Charles Okafor- Akwa United, Babatunde Solomon – Bayelsa United, Udochukwu Anumudu- Abia Warriors, Olawale Yusuf- Remo Stars, Frank Kakpe- Katsina United, Yusuf Omotayo- Rivers United, Umar Idris- Potiskum Academy, Roland Precious – MFM and two others.
