2022 JAMB Exam Malpractice Code: Items Prohibited in Exam Halls can be accessed below…

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board,Following GoldenNewsNg JAMB Monitoring thread , we have published the codes for examination malpractice and their interpretations as well as examination prohibited items in JAMB Examination Hall.

NB: Candidates are hereby informed that violation of any of the below codes will lead to their result been withheld by the board.

You are hereby informed that the board has provided a space on each candidates on – screen which candidates can’t see, but examiners can see them and can tag any of the below codes where necessary.

If a candidate is guilty of any of the above offenses, all the examiner needs to do is enter any of the above codes on your on-screen question and that’s it.

Your result will be withheld. If contested, JAMB may now request, and attach the CCTV footage to close the case.

 

JAMB Malpractice Codes & Items Prohibited in Exam Halls for 2022 UTME

Please find below the codes for examination malpractice and their interpretations as well as examination prohibited items.

10 J Possession of Smart Devices e.g. Watches, Buttons,
Rings/Jewelry, Lenses, etc
11 K Colluding with other Candidates/Examiners/
External Agents
12 L Leaving the Examination Hall without Permission

 

JAMB UTME PROHIBITED ITEMS

To ensure that the Board’s examinations meet best global practice, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has prohibited the use of the following items during examinations.

Candidates are hereby advised in their best interest NOT TO bring THESE ITEMS close to the examination venue.

Any breach of this directive would bar the candidates from taking the examination.

  2. SMART BUTTONS
  3. WATCHES
  4. PEN/BIRO
  5. MOBILE PHONES OR SIMILAR ELECTRONIC DEVICES
  6. SPY READING GLASSES WHICH SHOULD BE SCRUTINIZED
  7. CALCULATORS OR SIMILAR ELECTRONIC DEVICES
  8. USB, CD, HARD DISKS AND OR SIMILAR STORAGE DEVICES
  9. BOOKS OR ANY READING/ WRITING MATERIAL
  10. EAR PIECES
  11. INK/PEN READERS
  12. BLUETOOTH DEVICES
  13. CAMERAS
  14. SMART LENSES
  15. RECORDERS
  16. SMART RINGS/ JEWELLERY
  17. KEY HOLDERS
  18. ATM CARDS
  19. ERASERS

OTHER ITEMS SUCH AS FACE CAP, WRIST BAND, ETC ARE ALSO PROHIBITED.

The Civil Society Group is one of the groups inaugurated by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, to assist in monitoring the UTME 2021.

JAMB UTME Monitoring Groups, examination officials are allowed to scrutinise eye glasses or similar devices and where convinced that such item may compromise the sanctity of the examination, the examination official should confiscate it.

Where examination official (board staff or ad hoc staff) or any authorized person is found with any of these prohibited items in the examination hall, such compromising action would be treated as a deliberate act of examination sabotage and necessary sanction will be applied.
