Following the delay in their NPower January stipend payment, the National Social Investment Management System, NASIMS, has announced that the January Npower stipend payment process has begun in an effort to put smiles on the faces of Npower Batch C stream 1 beneficiaries.
“Our attention has been drawn to repetitive enquiries from Batch C Beneficiaries regarding payment commencement of January stipends, and our clarity verged on the misconception,” sources close to the office of Humanitarian Affairs Minister Sadiya Umar, who requested anonymity, said.
“To be clear, your January 2022 payment is currently being reviewed and is nearing completion. To that end, payment will be initiated as soon as possible, while all outstanding 2021 debts are gradually resolved. Furthermore, the technical issues we’ve been dealing with are a factor in the payment irregularities.
“At this time, we are unable to provide an exact start date for payment of January 2022 stipends, but we can assure you that you will be paid soon.”

At the moment, NASIMS has only paid the batch C1 Npower beneficiaries four-month stipends.
Stipend payments from September to December 2022 have been covered, with payments from January to February 2022 remaining.
