Abdullahi Adamu, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to cede power to an opposition party in 2023 would be shameful.
Goldennewsng reports that In an interview with BBC Hausa, Adamu made the statement, claiming that Buhari wants the APC to win more than any other political party.
The criticism that Buhari is withdrawing from campaigning for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was dismissed by the former legislator, who stated that it was improper for Buhari to quit his position as president due to the electioneering.
“It is a lie for anyone to claim that he wants the APC to win this election more than Buhari does. He stated, “My reason is that it is regrettable that the president has ceded power to a political party that is not his.”
