Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has pleaded with God to appoint Peter Obi as president of Nigeria.
Goldennewsng reports that while receiving Obi at the Government House, he spoke.
According to him, numerous presidential candidates have visited Benue but have shown no compassion to visit the eight IDP camps to feel their pain.
Ortom said a man like Obi whenever entrusted with the order of Nigerians in 2023, will change the fortunes of the country.
He stated, ” I would have accompanied you everywhere to solicit votes on your behalf if I had not joined the PDP. But since I’m in PDP, I’m actually let Nigerians know that this is a man that can help and convey this country.”
One of the IDPs responded by expressing her happiness, expressing gratitude for the visit from the former governor of Anambra, and requesting their immediate relocation.
As a result, she hoped that the LP’s flagbearer would become president in 2023 and address the state’s security concerns.
She stated, I’m very sorry because I thought I would have gone back to my village in my fifth or sixth year, but I’m still here at the IDP Camp. I ask God to give Peter Obi the guidance he needs to lead us so that things can settle down.
