2023: Goodluck Jonathan Finally Speaks On Apc Muslim-Muslim Ticket

Goodluck Jonathan, a former Nigerian president, has scoffed at the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress.

Goldennewsng reports that Jonathan asserts that the ruling party’s ticket of candidates of the same faith would result in inadequate representation of Nigeria’s religious diversity.

He went on to say that the same-faith ticket can only be used in all 50 states.

This was said by Jonathan in an interview that was included in a book called “My Time As Chaplain In Aso Rock,” which was released to the public on Tuesday.

The accounts of Obioma Onwuzurumba, the Chaplain of the Aso Rock Villa Chapel during the Jonathan administration, are included in the book written by Nathaniel Bivan.

He stated, “The custom then was that if the President were a Christian, the Vice President would be a Muslim, and vice versa when I took over as the president.” Nigeria has religious celebrations, including National Day, which features Christian and Jummah prayers.

Nigerians are religious people, which is why I worry about the Muslim-Christian or Muslim-Muslim ticket issues. The state can be run by Christians and Muslims or Christians and Muslims. However, whenever we discuss our national holidays, I always ask, “Who will represent this other bloc?”
