Ibrahim Shehu, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Zamfara State, has been kicked out for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities.
Goldennewsng reports that the expulsion letter, which was signed by Hon. Aliyu Hassan, the party secretary in Mayana Ward, Shehu, was kicked out for engaging in anti-party activities in violation of Article 58(1)(a), (b), and (c) of the amended constitution that the party adopted in 2017.
According to the letter, the party’s Mayana Ward Working Committee made the decision in January 2023.
DAILY POST recalls that the party’s governorship primary election was invalidated twice thanks to Ibrahim Shehu.
DAILY POST was unsuccessful in its attempts to get a response from Ibrahim Shehu, who served as a member of the Federal House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015.
In the meantime, the party’s state chapter claimed to be unaware of the development, claiming that it had not been officially informed by the ward and that the allegations against Shehu would be properly investigated before any action was taken.
