Peter Obi, the candidate for president from the Labour Party, has stated that the presidency is not a home for the elderly.
Goldennewsng reports that Obi said that Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) lacked the energy to lead Nigeria as president.
The LP presidential candidate stated in Enugu that they were too old and lacked the necessary energy to lead Nigeria in 2023.
“We are three of the major presidential candidates. Two people have left for the southeast. If you check their ages, the first one is in his 70s, and nobody knows how old the second one is.
Aso Rock is not a home for the elderly. We’ve stated it. Allow elderly people to search for alternative retirement communities.
“Before arriving here, I first went to the Nsukka Campus and then the UNN campus in Enugu. I will then travel to Onitsha. They won’t be able to. Energy is required for the presidency, he stated.
