Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024/2025 Generation Google EMEA Scholarships, designed to support women pursuing studies in computer science and gaming.

Requirements
To be eligible for the Generation Google EMEA Scholarship, applicants must:
- Currently be enrolled as full-time students in a Bachelor’s program at an accredited university or college for the 2023-2024 academic year.
- Intend to enroll or have been accepted as full-time students in a Bachelor’s program at an accredited university in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa for the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Pursue studies in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Demonstrate a strong academic record.
- Exhibit leadership qualities and a passion for enhancing representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology.
Application Process
Applicants are required to complete an online application, which includes:
- General background information such as contact details and details about current and intended universities.
- Resume/CV.
- Academic transcripts from the current institution.
- Responses to short answer essay questions.
Essay Questions:
- Problem Solving Experience: Describe a time when you encountered a complex problem without a clear solution path. Detail the steps taken to reach a solution, including resources considered and lessons learned. This problem may be encountered in academic, professional, extracurricular, or personal settings.
- Barrier to Equitable Access: Reflect on a barrier preventing equitable access to the technology field based on personal experience. Identify the root cause of this barrier and actions taken or planned to address it, with a focus on personal contributions towards equity.
