Euracare, an institution with a vision to be at the forefront of healthcare in Nigeria launched a Wellness Centre. The event took place on the 6th of October 2021 at the new centre in Victoria Island..
The opening started with the Managing Director, Mr Pieter Slabberts and the Centre Manager, Dr Busola Ayelowo giving the Honourable Commissioner for Health in Lagos State, Professor Akin Abayomi, and other dignitaries that graced the event a tour of the facility.
Speaking at the event the Managing Director mentioned that some of the major reasons why the centre was established in Nigeria are to reduce medical tourism amongst Nigerians and caring for the sick shouldn’t be the only priority but also helping healthy people get and remain healthier.
He also talked about the mission of the centre which is to provide world-class medical services to patients without the stress and expense of international travel, offer corporate companies and insurers efficient healthcare solutions for their employees and customers and to make available to physicians a technologically advanced and optimized work platform.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi who graced the opening commended the management of Euracare for their thoughtfulness in investing into preventive care. Also speaking at the event, the Centre Manager, Dr Busola Ayelowo said that the Euracare Wellness Centre is a state of the art facility that has come to bridge the gap and reduce medical tourism. It attracts people from all over to come to the centre for world class wellness services.
Euracare which is a subsidiary of the Eurapharma (CFAO’s healthcare branch) already has a specialist hospital in Lagos and the wellness centre is a welcome expansion for all those who are interested in living a healthy lifestyle. It boasts of more than seven areas of medical intervention that will be available to people now that it has been launched.
Some of which are Health Screenings, which offers services like laboratory testing and X-Ray, General Medical, where you can receive physical examination by our expert doctors, Specialist consultations, for more serious medical conditions, Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS), which is the latest in physical therapy to repair damaged muscles and rapidly improve muscular strength or help your weight loss journey. The wellness center also has an Infusion Lounge, for health boosting Intravenous treatment that rapidly helps boost the body with the right vitamins and antioxidants, there is the Wellness Coffee Shop, with a world-class menu where you can connect with others and replenish yourself, Some other major departments in the wellness center are Laboratory, X-ray, Stress ECG, Echo and Ultrasound.
The Euracare wellness centre is also collocated with a Dialysis centre which is a state-of-the-art Dialysis centre located in Victoria Island, Lagos.
