3MTT Cohort 3 Deadline Extended to July 30 — Here’s How to Apply

The Federal Government’s 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) initiative has officially extended the application deadline for Cohort 3 to July 30, 2025.

This update, shared by the 3MTT program coordinators, comes as a relief to many applicants still finalizing their projects. “That’s more time to perfect your projects and make your mark,” the announcement reads, urging participants across Nigeria’s tech space to make the most of the extension.

The 3MTT program, led by the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, aims to train 3 million Nigerians in critical tech skills such as software development, cybersecurity, data analysis, cloud computing, and more bridging the talent gap in the digital sector.

With thousands already enrolled in the first two cohorts, the third round promises even more opportunities for aspiring tech professionals.

How to Apply for 3MTT Cohort 3

Interested applicants can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official application portal:
    Go to https://3mtt.nitda.gov.ng

  2. Create an account:
    Sign up with a valid email address and phone number.

  3. Fill in your personal details:
    Complete your profile and select your preferred learning track (e.g., software engineering, UI/UX, etc.).

  4. Submit your application:
    Ensure all details are accurate, and upload any required documents.

  5. Join the community:
    After submission, you may be invited to join the official learning community for your state.

  6. Watch for communication:
    Shortlisted candidates will receive SMS or email notifications.

Applicants are encouraged to take this final chance seriously. “This is your time to stand out,” the team emphasized, reminding participants to use the extension wisely and prepare thoroughly.
