The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC has said that despite the court order issued by an Abuja court, it will still carry out the Sept 28 protest as planned.

But in a communique signed by comrade Emmanuel Ugboaja, general secretary of the union, NLC has given directives to it’s members to disregard the court order and come out en-masse to protest the increase in fuel and electricity tariff.
The Congress also called on all leaders of affiliates in Abuja to mobilize at least 2000 of it’s members to Unity fountain Abuja, for the mass rally which will commence from 7am.
Ugboaja stated further that president’s and general secretaries are to lead the protest at the take off point which is the NLC sub secretariat at 29 Olajuwon street, Yaba Lagos.
