Brighton will feel hard-done by not to come away with at least a point in their thrilling midday encounter with Man Utd at the Amex stadium.
A Bruno Fernandes 99th minute penalty ensured the visitors walked away with all three points – their first of the season.
The seagulls took a deserved lead in the 40th minute with a penalty of their own, with Neal Maupay’s audacious panenka spotkick sending David DeGea the wrong way.
The lead lasted just two minutes as United hit back swiftly with a Lewis Dunk own goal, under pressure from Harry Maguire.
A second penalty after the restart for the host was overturned by VAR and moments later, United thought they had taken the lead, but the goal scored by Marcus Rashford was ruled out for offside.
Rashford was not to be denied a second time with a stunning solo goal for 2-1.
Brighton continued their dominance and had almost five attempts in total canon off the crossbar, but finally found a way with a late equalizer, when March headed home unmarked in the 95th minute.
But in a remarkable twist, United were handed a penalty of their own in the 98th minute which Fernandes duly dispatched.
