Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umar Zulum, despite terrorists attack on his convoy on Friday, terrorists attack on his convoy on Friday, went ahead with his plans as more than 1000 internally displaced persons IDPs were relocated in Baga town.
The governor spent two nights in the embattled town where he spear-headed the resettlement of the returnees back to their ancestral homes, while also disbursing N10,000 and a bag of rice to each household to start their lives again.
Governor Zulum also made a call on the returnees to be law abiding as well as cooperate and give their maximum support to security operatives inorder to enjoy protection and safety.
He assured them of his continued support while stating that the cash and food incentives were all short term relief packages to ensure they have an easy start to their lives again.
