The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) have officially announced the commencement of the recruitment process for the Federal Fire Service. Categories and Requirements:
Category A: Inspectorate Cadre
- Inspector Of Fire (IF) CONPASS 07 (Nursing):
- Requirements: Aspiring candidates must hold qualifications as Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Midwives (RM), or RNIM from recognized institutions.
- Assistant Inspector Of Fire (AIF), CONPASS 06:
- Requirements: Candidates should possess either NCE or National Diploma (ND) in any related field from recognized Polytechnic/Institution.
Category B: Assistant Cadre
- Fire Assistant II (FA II) CONPASS 04:
- Requirements: Applicants must have obtained GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalent with a maximum of five (5) credits in not more than two sittings, including English and Mathematics.
- Fire Assistant III (FAIII), Appliance Driver (Specialist), CONPASS 03:
- Requirements: Candidates should hold GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalents with a minimum of five (5) credits in not more than two sittings, including English and Mathematics. Possession of a Class E Drivers’ License is an added advantage.
Method of Application:
- Interested candidates are required to submit their applications online via the CDCFIB Career Portal.
- The application window opens on Wednesday, 27th December 2023.
- As part of the process, candidates are advised to print and complete the Referee Forms, which will be submitted during the screening exercise.
- Multiple applications will lead to automatic disqualification.
Statutory Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following statutory conditions:
- Be Nigerians by birth.
- Possess the requisite qualifications.
- Present certificates of medical fitness from government-recognized hospitals.
- Demonstrate good character with no criminal convictions.
- Not be members of secret societies, cults, or engaged in drug addiction.
- Have no record of financial embarrassment.
- Fall within the age range of 18 and 35 years.
- Meet specified height and chest measurement requirements.
- Possess computer literacy (considered an added advantage).
