Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for the National Diploma Programs at OYSCATECH, candidates must:

  • Have participated in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for the current academic year.
  • Select OYSCATECH as their first choice of institution during their UTME registration or make a change of institution to OYSCATECH as their first choice.
  • Meet the minimum UTME score set by the college for the year’s admission. This score is subject to change annually based on the national admission policy.

Academic Requirements

The academic foundation for entry into the National Diploma Programs is critical. Candidates must:

  • Possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or the General Certificate of Education (GCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the National Examinations Council (NECO), or the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).
  • Have at least five (5) subjects passed at Credit level. These subjects must include Mathematics and English Language, which are compulsory, and three other relevant subjects related to the candidate’s desired field of study.
  • Ensure that these credits are obtained in not more than two (2) sittings. This condition is designed to assess the student’s academic consistency and mastery of the subjects required for their chosen program.

Important Notes for Candidates

  • Verification of Credentials: All candidates should be prepared to provide original copies of their academic credentials for verification during the screening process. Photocopies or scanned copies will not be considered valid for screening purposes.
  • Subject Combination: It is crucial for candidates to have the correct subject combination for their chosen course of study. The subject combination for each program is available on the OYSCATECH website and should be reviewed carefully before applying.
  • Age Limit: There is no age restriction for applicants to the National Diploma Programs at OYSCATECH. The college welcomes applications from all candidates who meet the academic and eligibility requirements.
