The independent national electorial commission (INEC) has laid down ground rules for the 10 October ondo governorship election for voters.
First on the set of rules is that voters without face masks will not be allowed to join the queues for the safety of others. As coronavirus safety guidelines must be obeyed during the course of voting.
Secondly, vote buying is completely prohibited and anyone caught either buying or selling votes will be arrested on the spot.
Also, taking pictures of votes cast is not allowed. Holding of phones close to the polling both will warrant harressment and possible arrest.
Lastly, voters won’t be allowed to join the queue as from 2:30 pm except for those already accredited.
INEC finally urged the great people of Ondo state to come out in large numbers to vote and assured them of a free and fair election.
