As voting begins in the ongoing Governorship Election in Ondo State, sporadic shootings have been reported in a polling unit.
The incident occured at polling unit II, Edo lodge in Oke Ijebu, Akure.
Confirming the shooting, the state police spokesman, Tee Lee Ikoro said operatives have been deployed to the affected area.
Ikoro described that mobile police operatives were deployed to ensure the protection of voters at the scene.
