Following nationwide unrest and protest, there has finally being some good news as the inspector general of police, today announced that the Special Anti-Robbery Squad is dissolved henceforth.
The Special Anti-Robbery Squad popularly known as SARS has long been accused of harassment, unlawful arrests, torture and even murders.
#EndSARS hashtag has been trending all over social media being number 1 in the U.S and U.K.
The announcement was met with mixed reactions from Nigerians. A sect of divide clamouring for more than just the dissolve of the unit and the other side happy with the announcement.
Popular skit maker, Mr macaroni who has been on the fore front of the protest in Lagos vowed to keep on protesting despite the announcement.
