As part of plans to honour the late Chairman of Katcha local government area, Danlami Abdullahi Saku who died in fatal auto crash along Kwakuti on Tuesday December, 2024. Niger state government has shifted its tour of Zone B till next year (2025).
In a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Binta Mamman and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Minna, Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago said the tour is now postponed till January, 2025 as a sign of respect.
The statement also read in part that: Governor Bago has declared that the Fidda’u prayer which will be handled by the Director General Religious Affairs, Dr. Umar Farooq Abdullahi will come up on tomorrow (Friday) after Jumaat at the Minna Central mosque.
It should be recalled that the Governor had toured local government areas in Zones A and C where he inspected ongoing projects across the state.
The Governor prayed Allah to make Aljanna Firdausi the final abode of the deceased and comfort the late Chairman’s family and also the people of Katcha.
