If You Registered at These Centres, Reprint Your Exam Slip NOW!

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who registered at certain CBT centres must urgently reprint their JAMB examination slips. This follows the Board’s decision to delist five centres due to technical failures during the ongoing 2025 UTME exercise.

If you registered at any of the affected centres, it is important that you reprint your exam slip immediately to know your new examination centre and rescheduled date.

List of Delisted CBT Centres

The following CBT centres have been delisted:

  • Adventure Associate, Off Hadejia Road, Kano

  • Saadatu Rimi College of Education, Zaria Road, Naibawa, Kano

  • Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 1, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal

  • Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 2, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal

  • Soronara Ventured Nigeria Limited, Foundation Road, Umudagu Mbieri, Imo State

These centres failed to meet JAMB’s minimum operational standards and were found to have serious technical issues that could affect the integrity of the examination process.

JAMB Arrests Over 40 Candidate for Exam Malpractice in 2025 UTME, Warns of Swift Prosecution

JAMB Arrests Over 40 Candidate for Exam Malpractice in 2025 UTME, Warns of Swift Prosecution

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the arrest of over 40 individuals for various forms of examination malpractice in the ongoing 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The exam, which began on April 25 and is scheduled to end on May 5, has seen a dedicated focus on enforcement and exam integrity.

In its latest weekly bulletin released on Monday, the board identified impersonation as the most prevalent form of cheating. JAMB has reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward examination fraud, vowing that anyone caught will face swift prosecution.

All arrested individuals are reportedly facing legal action, and JAMB has issued a fresh warning: any candidate caught engaging in impersonation or other misconduct will be immediately arrested and prosecuted.

Parents Express Frustration as Candidates Miss UTME in Cross River Due to Distant CBT Centres

The 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), scheduled from April 25 to May 5, has stirred  complaints in Cross River State as many candidates were unable to participate due to being assigned CBT centres far from their location.

Parents in Calabar shared their frustration in interviews, lamenting the stress of the entire process from difficult registration procedures to distant exam postings. Many candidates were posted to local government areas such as Obudu, Akamkpa, and even neighboring Akwa Ibom, with some journeys taking over 8 hours.

“My daughter was posted to Akamkpa, which is two to three hours from Calabar. She’s just a teenager. It’s frustrating and unnecessary,” said Johnson Etim, a concerned parent.

Another parent, Jonas Achi, recalled sleeping overnight at the registration venue just to get a slot for his child. He described the crowd and network failures at centres like FAAN Secondary School and the University of Calabar Library as overwhelming.

Some candidates like 16-year-old Joseph Adagi were posted to Ikot Ekpene in Akwa Ibom but couldn’t attend due to the absence of local support or money for accommodation.

In addition to travel burdens, exam times scheduled as early as 6:30 a.m. left many families scrambling to either leave at 5 a.m. or lodge in hotels—incurring extra costs they couldn’t afford.

Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has also weighed in, calling the conduct of the 2025 UTME by JAMB “reckless,” and demanded accountability in the way centres are assigned.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had earlier promised a cash reward for anyone who could provide credible evidence of being posted outside their selected town. However, parents argue that the process has placed undue strain on students and families alike.

With growing outcry, stakeholders are urging JAMB to reassess its CBT centre allocation process to avoid further disruption in future UTME exams.
