The Women Exporters in the Digital Economy (WEIDE) Fund is a $50 million initiative launched by the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Trade Centre (ITC) to support women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in developing countries, including Nigeria, in expanding their digital trade capabilities and accessing global markets.

This initiative, spearheaded by SheTrades and the International Trade Centre (ITC), is more than just a grant—it’s a powerful tool to help female entrepreneurs in Nigeria thrive in the global market.

Applications are invited from women entrepreneurs looking to expand their business in the digital economy for Women Exporters in the Digital Economy (WEIDE) Fund Grant.

 

What is the WEIDE Fund Grant?

The WEIDE Fund supports women-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) that want to scale their businesses through digital platforms and cross-border trade.

The 2025 edition focuses on digital entrepreneurship and export readiness, aiming to close the funding gap for women in trade.

 

 

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the WEIDE Fund Grant, your business must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be women-led or women-owned

  • Registered and operating in Nigeria

  • Must be a micro, small, or medium-sized business

  • Your business should engage in export or digital commerce

  • You must be part of the SheTrades Hub Nigeria

  • A clear growth or export plan is required

 

How to Apply for the WEIDE Fund Grant 2025

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you apply:

1. Register on SheTrades

  • Visit the SheTrades Hub Nigeria

  • Join the SheTrades community to get started.

2. Prepare Your Documents

You may need:

  • Business registration documents

  • Export or sales records

  • Business plan or digital growth strategy

3. Submit Your Application

  • Apply directly on the SheTrades Nigeria platform before the deadline.

  • Fashion

  • Beauty

  • Agriculture

  • Handicrafts

  • Services (digital/IT)
