FG Opens Portal for Recruitment into Civil Defence, Immigration, Correctional, Fire Services – Apply Now

The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), has officially announced the commencement of a nationwide recruitment exercise across four major paramilitary agencies.

The recruitment portal https://recruitment.cdcfib.org is now open for applications from suitably qualified Nigerians interested in joining the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

Paramilitary Agencies Included in the 2025 FG Recruitment

The recruitment covers the following federal agencies:

  • Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)

  • Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)

  • Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS)

  • Federal Fire Service (FFS)

The application process is free of charge and will run for three weeks. Applicants are advised to apply for only one agency to avoid automatic disqualification.

Available Positions and Qualifications

The recruitment exercise features openings under three main cadres:

🟢 Superintendent Cadre (Category A)

  • Bachelor’s degree, HND, MBBS, Law, or Engineering

  • Roles include Assistant Superintendent I & II, and Superintendent of Corrections

🟡 Inspectorate Cadre (Category B)

  • ND or NCE holders

  • Registered Nurses and Midwives

🔵 Assistant Cadre (Category C)

  • SSCE/WAEC/NECO/GCE holders

  • Roles include drivers, appliance operators, and general duties

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, candidates must:

  • Be Nigerian by birth

  • Be 18–35 years of age

  • Meet minimum height and chest measurements:

    • 1.65m (males) / 1.60m (females)

    • Chest: 0.87m (males only)

  • Provide a Medical Fitness Certificate from a government hospital

  • Be of good character, with no criminal conviction

  • Have basic computer skills (an advantage)

Application Guidelines

  1. Visit the official portal: https://recruitment.cdcfib.org

  2. Choose your preferred agency

  3. Fill in personal, academic, and biometric information

  4. Upload relevant documents

  5. Review and submit your application

Applicants should print out their confirmation slips and stay alert for notifications about the next phase of the process.

Important Notes

  • Multiple applications to different agencies will result in disqualification

  • All applications must be submitted within three weeks of the portal opening

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for screening and tests

  • No fee is required at any stage of the application

The CDCFIB has warned applicants to beware of fraudsters and fake recruitment portals, emphasizing that all applications must be processed via the official website only.
