FG Partners DBN to Provide ₦100 Million Grant to 3MTT Nigeria Fellows

In a strategic move to empower Nigeria’s tech talents, the Federal Government has announced a new partnership with the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) to provide financial support to beneficiaries of the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, who described the initiative as another significant milestone in the government’s efforts to uplift Nigerian youth through innovation, skills development, and access to funding.

“We recently marked another milestone in our mission to uplift Nigeria’s youth by partnering with the Development Bank of Nigeria to expand opportunities for our 3MTT Nigeria fellows,” Dr. Tijani said.

According to the Minister, a ₦100 million grant has been made available to support startups and MSMEs founded by fellows of the 3MTT Nigeria program. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between technical skills and the capital needed to scale ideas into sustainable businesses.

“This is a strong example of how government can work hand-in-hand with the private sector to create meaningful impact,” Tijani added.

Driving Innovation Through Investment

The partnership aligns with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to build a $1 trillion economy, with innovation and digital transformation at its core. The grant will not only boost tech entrepreneurship but also ensure that the country’s growing digital talent pool is equipped with the financial support necessary to compete globally.

“As we continue to pursue President Tinubu’s vision of a $1 trillion economy, partnerships like this remind us that innovation thrives best when it is backed by collaboration and intentional investment in people,” Dr. Tijani concluded.

The 3MTT Nigeria program, launched under the Renewed Hope Agenda, seeks to train three million Nigerians in technical and digital skills, preparing them for roles in software development, data analysis, cybersecurity, and more.
