Apply: FUTA Post-UTME Registration for 2025/2026 Academic Session Now Open

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has commenced online registration for its Post-UTME screening for the 2025/2026 academic session. See eligibility, screening fee, deadline, and how to apply.

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has officially announced the commencement of online registration for its Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the Registrar, C. O. Adeleye, the registration opens on Friday, 25th July 2025, and closes on Friday, 28th August 2025.

In a statement from the Office of the Registrar, it was confirmed that the screening targets candidates seeking admission into all courses and programmes offered by FUTA.

“The Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA online registration for Post-UTME screening exercise for the purpose of admission into all Courses/programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session commences on Friday, 25th July and ends on Friday, 28th August, 2025,” the notice read.

Eligibility Criteria

i. Candidates must have scored a minimum of 180 in the 2025 UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
ii. Direct Entry (DE) candidates who selected FUTA as their First Choice Institution are eligible.
iii. Candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two (2) sittings in O’ level exams conducted by WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents.
iv. Candidates must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2025.

Important Instructions

Applicants are advised to upload their O’ level results to JAMB CAPS and share them with FUTA before the registration deadline.

“Candidates must ensure that their O’ level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS and shared with FUTA on or before Friday, 28th August, 2025. Failure to do this will render the affected candidates ineligible for admission,” the statement warned.

Screening Fee

A screening fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) is required. Payment should be made via the Remita platform at any commercial bank after generating a payment code.

How to Apply

i. Visit the University admission website Here or https://futa.edu.ng/
ii. Complete and submit the University Post-UTME Application Form ONLINE;
iii. Print out a copy of the Registration Form.

Candidates must enter their correct UTME Registration Number and Full Name exactly as they appear on their JAMB slip.

“The Registration Form is mandatory for all eligible candidates to complete for the screening exercise,” the Registrar stated.

Note: Any candidate who does not complete the registration within the scheduled period will not be considered for admission.
