Following the report, the heavily armed robbers who brought the New Benin Market, Benin City, Edo state under siege in broad a daylight today, were eventually gunned down by some gallant men of the Nigerian Police Force , after a gun duel.
As at the time of filing this report, six(6) persons who were said to have sustained injuries from stray bullets during the exchange of gun fire are presently receiving treatment at the Central Hospital, Benin City, the Edo state capital.
