According to a press statement signed and made available to newsmen by council’s chairman, Comrade Bello Abdulrazak Kaura and the state council secretary, comrade Abubakar Ahmed said that non members of the union should henceforth desist from using the NUJ official sticker under any guise.

The statement noted that security agencies should as usual support the union in ensuring that only journalists with their official organization’s or NUJ National Identity card should be allowed usage of the sticker

However, the union joins the state government, security agencies and people of the state in prayers to see the end of armed banditry ravaging Zamfara State in particular and the nation in general

It called upon members to be more dedicated to their work and closely guided by the ethics of the profession.
