A big hauler stacked with diesel in the early long stretches of Tuesday detonated at Egbeda, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
Goldennewsng reports that crisis responders immediately raged the scene to fight the fire.
Affirming the episode, the Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the big hauler detonated around 1:18am.
As per the LASEMA DG, the big hauler was stacked with diesel when it detonated in the dead of the evening, yet he was unable to tell whether the fire bulldozed structures around.
As per him, the episode happened at Banire Bus Stop, Egbeda internal Ikotun.
“Examination led by the Team upon landing in the scene uncovered a completely stacked big hauler with diesel had a break disappointment, let completely go and tumbled off the street prompting a blast and fire upheaval,” he disclosed to PM News.
“Nonetheless, no losses recorded nor any properties wrecked in the appalling fiery blaze.
“The fire has been effectively stifled by men of the LASEMA LRU Fire administration and LASG Fire administration while hosing down is continuous.”
