The bickering between the All Progressives Congress APC and the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Niger state has taken a new dimension as the main opposition party has blamed the ruling party for ridiculing the Vice President throughout his visit to the State without a project ready for Commission.

In a statement signed by the PDP New Media team and made available to Journalists, the party claimed that “it is an annex of such failures that saw the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo visiting the state with no single project to commission, either by the state or the federal Government, talkless of personal effort by any APC politicians”.

Reacting to the APC’s claim that Osinbajo was on a private visit, the statement read in part:, “it is an outright falsehood to say the Vice President was on private visit to Niger reason he didn’t commission projects, why then should the Governor be with him all through, if the visit was private?

Gov Sani Bello & State PDP Chairman Tanko Beji

“Why did he commission uncompleted drainage in the past? Why is the drainage still uncompleted till date after donkey years? Where are the projects to commission even if he was on official or working visit?

The statement disclosed further that” it is clear that APC is a bunch of advanced con artists that have exhausted propaganda and are set to be ejected in 2023.

“From 2015 to 2021, APC Government of Niger State have signed a total budget of almost N1trillion (One Trillion Naira) but they cannot point to a single N3billion to 5billion Naira project commenced, completed and commissioned.

The PDP also told the ruling party that “the factional APC Secretary, Ibrahim Khaleel was smart by half when he said Beji electrification was awarded to a PDP leader, “for clarity, Beji community electrification was never awarded to any PDP leader.

“We, in the PDP challenge APC Government to present award letters, and if the contract was paid for, we also challenge the APC Government to prosecute the contractor except of course the APC officials are co-conspirators with the so called contractor”.

He added that, the fact that APC only exist on papers with no leadership structure, the groping in the dark Secretary, Khaliel should henceforth indicate if he is Secretary under the Ubandiya-“Baram-Baram” Faction or the Kosaye-“Karfin Tuwo faction”

“We in the PDP sympathize with APC Niger and Nigeria over inability to hold Congresses in the 25 LGAs which is hallmarked by over 50 Chairmen for 25 LGAs of the state, 97 State Chairmen for 36 States and 3 sets of National Caretaker committees with no date for a National Convention”, the statement disclosed.
