Amidst rebellion by some members against the leadership of the national APC chairman Comrade Oshiomhole, an emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been scheduled to hold in Abuja on Tuesday, March 17 at 3pm.
GoldenNewsNg reports that Chief (Hon.) Victor T. Giadom, the acting National Secretary, made this known in a statement in Abuja on Friday night.
The statement invited all NEC members to attend the emergency meeting in line with Article 25 (B) (II) of the Constitution of the ruling party.
This online news platform understands that the meeting is scheduled to hold by 3:00 pm prompt at the National Executive Committee Hall at the party national secretariat in Abuja. The statement enjoined all members of the National Executive Committee to be seated before the arrival of the President.
President Buhari as the national leader of the party had met on Thursday with Adams Oshiomhole and Atiku Bagudu who leads the Progressive Governors Forum.
According to report gathered the agenda of the NEC is going to centre over Oshiomhole’s position, now being challenged in the court.
Meanwhile, the Governors’ Mandate Network has asked governors on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to urgently find a worthy replacement for embattled National Chairman of the Party, Adams Oshiomhole.
