… Says “Use what I have done to access me for President”
Presidential Aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Emmanuel Udom has on Thursday told Niger state delegates to vote him as the candidate and flagbearer of the party based on his antecedents.
Governor Udom charged delegates to rise beyond bias and sentiment and vote for the candidate that can take the party on the right path.
He said when he paid a visit to Niger PDP delegates to solicit their votes at the Party secretariat in Minna, that he is the solution to the challenges facing the country.
According to him “I want you to use what I have done so far as a Governor of Akwa Ibom State to access me.
“I am the solution to Nigeria’s problems. I am the man that can build bridges, bring the youths back, advocate peace and take the bandits off the forests. I am the man who can restore all the lost glory of Nigeria.”
He said that the country needs a president who can unite and secure the country. A person that is energetic, wise, strong and courageous.
“We must rise beyond biases and sentiments. We don’t need mediocre who only know about tribe and religion.”
Udom further said that his administration would implement above the needed percentage quota required for the representation of women in government.
“Women will be recognized in our government. They will have a proper place in our activities. We will implement the percentage needed”.
Speaking earlier, former Governor of Benue state, Senator Gabriel Suswam, said “we need people who have antecedents; those who have done things. Nigeria till date could not have an Airline, but Udom has done it in Akwa Ibom.”
The Niger state PDP Chairman, Barrister Tanko Beji thanked the Aspirant and his team adding that “only aspirants who visit us in Niger will be considered during the primaries”.
