Nigerian Police Salary Structure 2022

The pay of a Nigerian police officer is determined by his or her rank and grade in the Nigerian police force. As a result, we’ll take you from recruit to Inspector General of Police, and you’ll hear about new salaries for various ranks in the Nigerian police force.

16. Inspector General Of Police, (IGP)

The Inspector-General of Police is the highest rank of the Nigeria Police Force. He is named by the president and is subject to his dismissal. In most cases, the IGP is named for a four-year term. He must resign, and the president may nominate someone to take his position when his term ends or if he is fired. After the rise in the minimum wage, his monthly pay is higher than that of most police officers; see the table below:
