Veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem has announced that a GoFundeMe has been set up for him to receive funds from the public for his kidney transplant.
Goldennewsng reports that the ‘Jaga Jaga’ singer, through his management, made this known in a statement on an Instagram post on Thursday, July 20, while appreciating his friends and fans for their support.
The statement read: “Greetings my Family! This is your brother and comrade Eedris Abdulkareem of “Nigeria Jaga Jaga” fame.
“Firstly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to you all for the unalloyed love and care you have shown me since this sad news broke. I sincerely appreciate and love you all for this outpouring of genuine love and care.
“However, based on the requests I have been receiving on the need for Gofundme activities, I want to assure everyone that the activity is now on, Just click on my Instagram website for the Gofundme link.
“I am feeling better, strong and agile in body and soul while awaiting the doctor’s summons for the surgery procedures scheduled for any time from now. Prayers, faith and staunch belief in God’s awesome works drive me.”
Eedris’ friend and colleague Myke Pam broke the news of his health status in an Instagram post on Wednesday, July 6.
Myke Pam said the singer was undergoing dialysis in a Lagos hospital and is scheduled to have a transplant by the end of July.
He added that the kidney to be transplanted was donated by a family member.
