Following last week Sunday eviction that lead to Housemate, Deji leaving the big Brother Naija season 7 show in recent interview has explained that Chichi was a blessing to him during his stay in the house for 5 weeks.
Goldennewsng reports that Deji, who is a fake housemate, left the reality TV show on Sunday alongside Diana and Giddyfia who were evicted.
Speaking during media rounds, he explained that per his agreement with the organisers, he was meant to stay in the house for four weeks
But due to the bond he was building with Chichi, he pleaded with Big Brother to extend his stay in the BBNaija house to five weeks and it was granted.
He said that if she was not in the picture, he would never have made the request from Big Brother.
According to Deji, staying an extra week favoured him and Chichi was more like a blessing because he won some sponsored tasks which earned him cash rewards.
The US-based fashionista also recalled how Chichi reacted when Ebuka called him out as the fake housemate. He said she was not shocked or too sad like she would have normally reacted if he hadn’t explained his situation to her.
He clarified that he was never leading her on, but because he knew that he would be evicted as a fake housemate, he did not want to leave her in a depressed state so he decided to request the added time and used the opportunity to give her a hint that he may be leaving soon.
The model also said that they talked about the possibility of exploring what they shared in the house when they meet outside, noting that the idea was to try and see if it works out or to just remain friends.
Speaking on a leaked tape which showed two of them engaing in explicit activity under the sheets, Deji said that they did not take their intimacy to the last phase.
