Apply for Lagos State Agripreneurship Programme for Young Nigerians following the guideline below ..
The Lagos Agripreneurship Programme (LAP), an intervention program that trains and empowers women and young people to become agribusiness owners in order to alleviate poverty, create jobs, and ensure food security, was established by Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. The goal of the program is to ensure that food security is maintained.
This is in line with the tasks that have been assigned to the Ministry of Agriculture by the State Government’s T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda. These responsibilities include not just maintaining food security but also creating capacity.
Eligibility Requirements for Lagos State Agripreneurship Programme
Applications from those who meet the requirements are now being accepted for participation in a training program lasting one month in;
- Poultry
- Piggery
- Aquaculture
- Vegetable Value Chains
- E-Agric and Agribusiness at the Agricultural Training Institute, Araga, Epe.
Requirements for the Lagos State Agripreneurship Programme
:
- Unemployed
- Passion for agriculture
- Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate
- Satisfactory physical/health condition
- Age ranges between 18-35 years for men and 18-55 years for women.
Benefits of Lagos State Agripreneurship Programme
Following the completion of the training, participants will engage in a minimum internship and mentorship period of three months in one of the value chains of their choosing. After that, those participants who were successful will be put in contact with loan providers for consideration.
