Report has it that Gunmen on Friday attacked the convoy of a popular Nigerian cleric, Apostle Johnson Suleman, killing seven people, including three police officers, and a girl alleged to be his daughter
Mr Suleman’s lawyer, Samuel Amune, said the cleric escaped death by a whisker.
The paper reported that the attack occurred around the Auchi area of Edo State, South-south Nigeria, while Mr Suleman was heading to an unidentified location, hours after returning from a trip to Tanzania.
The police spokesperson in Edo State, Chuidi Nwabuzor, has confirmed the attack, according to the Punch.
He confirmed the killing of Mr Suleman’s drivers and the police officers who were his orderlies.
Following the sad event that happened few hours ago , a close source has revealed that the girl who was shot dead is not Apostle Suleman daughter.
The close source revealed that Apostle Suleman elder daughters are not in Nigeria and his young daughters who were in Nigeria were still in school during the time the tragic event occurred.
It could be recalled few hours ago , it was reported that unidentified kidnappers attacked Apostle Suleman and his convoy in Auchi, Edo State, they killed Four of his body guards.
It was also reported that Apostle luckily escaped being harmed by the kidnappers, his bulletproof car was shot several times.
