Pheelz claims that when he was five years old, he saw the choir perform at a church and made the decision to become a musician.
The one thing I knew for sure since I was 5 was that I would always see myself performing on stage. because when I was five, I got my first taste of music, and that was in church, he explained.
You are aware that there are two kinds of churches in Nigeria: one for children and one for adults. That was my first adult church experience, and I wasn’t even on stage.
“I just entered the adult church and saw how the choir was singing and how it affected people’s emotions. How some people would scream and roll to the ground.
For a five-year-old, it was a bizarre scene to witness. From that point on, I decided, “I want to do this; this is what I want to do.”
Pheelz, whose real name is Philip Kayode, is one of the best producers in Afrobeats.
Last year, the 27-year-old started his progress into a performer when he delivered ‘Listen to Me’, his introduction EP.
