The All Progressives Congress, or APC, leaders have been instructed by President Muhammadu Buhari to unite in order to avoid defeat in 2023.
Goldennewsng reports that to ensure victory in 2023, Buhari stated, APC leaders must foster cooperation among themselves.
The statement that was released yesterday by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, referred to the charge that he made in his hometown of Daura in Katsina State.
Dikko Radda, the APC’s candidate for governor of Katsina State, and Faruk Jobe, his running mate, were greeted by the president at his residence.
Notwithstanding, in the articulation named “To prevail at races, President Buhari requests that APC bring together its positions,” Buhari said party pioneers need “to sit together to stay away from divisions and guarantee solidarity to keep away from rout at the decisions.”
In 2023, the president pledged to guarantee free and fair elections in Nigeria.
He emphasized that the elections in Osun, Ekiti, and Anambra were examples of his determination to ensure free and fair elections.
Buhari expressed his gratitude for the visit and wished the party a successful election.
