The Labour Party has acted in response to Doyin Okupe’s conviction as a former Senior Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Goldennewsng reports that Okupe is the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council’s General Director.
He circumvented being tossed to prison after he was viewed as at fault for getting over N200m cash from a previous Public safety Counsel, Col. Sambo Dasuki (ret.) paid a fine of N13 million.
The leadership of the Labour Party stated on Monday that, in response to Okupe’s conviction, it would first obtain a copy of the court’s verdict and study it before taking a position on the matter.
Yunusa Tanko, the campaign council’s spokesperson, made this clear in an interview with The PUNCH shortly after Okupe was found guilty.
