Oby Ezekwesili, a former Minister of Education and BBOG convener, has stated that the candidate for President Buhari’s replacement in 2023 will not achieve immediate results.
Goldennewsng reports that during an appearance on Channels TV’s Political Paradigm, which is scheduled to air at noon on Tuesday, Ezekwesili made this assertion.
The former education minister mentioned in an excerpt of the interview that, regardless of who won the presidential election in 2023, the failing system might make it difficult to see immediate results.
She stated, “Candidates running for office must tell voters the hard truth.”
The bitter reality is that the nation is not in a position for any president to immediately produce results.
The fact that you have a president who is aware of the issues that need to be resolved and has a plan for doing so is what matters.
“It is not fair to you for a candidate to promise immediate results after the elections in 2023.”
“So we should comprehend that residents should be prepared for the work ahead in light of the fact that it will require everyone cooperating to get this going.”
Elections for both the National Assembly and the presidency have been set for February 25, 2023.
