Jose Mourinho, manager of AS Roma, has offered his reaction to Pele’s passing.
Goldennewsng reports that that Pele, who was 82 years old, lost his battle with cancer on Thursday evening.
Mourinho tweeted his reaction via his Instagram account, expressing his sadness over Pele’s passing.
The Portuguese also said that it was a pleasure to meet Pele in Manchester when the football legend was still alive.
“In 2005 I received the BBC award directly from the king’s hands, and to this day it is one of my proudest moments,” the former manager of Manchester United and Chelsea wrote. I was beyond thrilled to have him in Manchester, where we had such a pleasant conversation and time together.
“Rest in peace, King Pelé, and keep his loved ones in your thoughts. I am devastated.
