There are guite a number of kings in Nigeria, and most of these men are wealthy.they must  have acquired wealth through their positions or by engaging in several other businesses. This article highlights some of these rich kings in Nigeria, the cars they own, and their net worth.

Oba Obateru Akinruntan  – $300 million

Oba Obateru Akinruntan is the royal leader of a prominent town in Ondo State known as Ugbo. His royal title is “Olugbo of Ugbo.” He is one of the notable Yoruba monarchs and also the richest king in Nigeria.

He was an oil magnate and the founder of Obat Oil in 1981. Today, the company has more than 50 fuel stations in Nigeria and owns one of Africa’s largest tank farms that stores over 65 million litres of petroleum. According to Forbes, the Olugbo of Ugbo has a net worth valued at $300 million. That’s not all the prominent king owns. He has a series of luxury vehicles that include:

—2012 Rolls-Royce similar to that of Queen Elizabeth II

Sa’adu Abubakar Sultan of Sokoto – $100 million

Another richest king in Nigeria is the Sultan of Sokoto, whose net worth is $100 million. He ascended the throne as the 20th Sultan of Sokoto after the death of his brother, Muhammadu Maccido.

In 1977, he was commissioned as a second Lieutenant and served under the elite Armoured Corps. He headed a presidential security unit of the Armoured Corps that guarded the then Military ruler of Nigeria, General Ibrahim Babangida.

He also commanded a battalion of African peacekeepers in Chad in the 1980s and was also Military Liasion Officer for ECOWAS in the mid-1990s.

Lamido Sanusi Lamido — Former Emir of Kano – $80 million

Lamido Sanusi Lamido is a one-time Nigerian Central Bank Governor and was the 14th Emir of Kano. He ascended the throne in 2014 after the death of his grand-uncle Ado Bayero. On the 9th of March, 2020, he was dethroned by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

He is on a yearly allowance from the Nigerian government and earns about 14 million Naira yearly. The Northerner dignitary has a series of luxury cars, and the most notable are:

Oba Adeyeye is the traditioanl ruler of Ile-Ife in Osun. He was born into the Giesi Ruling House of Ojaja Royal Compound of Agbedegbede in Ile-Ife. In 2015, he ascended the throne, succeeding the deceased Oba Okunade Sijuwade.

Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu is another wealthy King in Nigeria. He is the 21st Obi of Onitsha in Anambra State. He is also the chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University since 2015 and the former chancellor of Kogi State University.

The new king named Utieyinoritsetsola Emiko was crowned on Saturday, 21st August 2021 in a lavish ceremony that was graced by dignitaries both within and outside Nigeria. The wealthy and handsome 37-year-old has great plans and aspirations to make his reign memorable for his people.

Utieyinoritsetsola Emiko popularly called Tsola Emiko is the 21st king of the Warri kingdom. Coming from a royal bloodline, he was born to Prince Godwin Toritseju Emiko (The Late Ogiame Atuwatse ll) & Gladys Durorike Emiko. The 37-year-old was born in Delta, Warri State on 2nd April 1984.

Rilwan Babatunde Osuolale is another wealthy King in Nigeria. Before ascending the throne in 2003, he was once an Assistant Inspector General of Police in Nigeria. Since emerging as the 21st Oba of Lagos, he has remained on the throne until now.
